Tanglewood
Giant Schnauzers has bred 6 Best In Show dogs. Also, my Giant Schnauzers
have been invited to the prestigious Westminster
Kennel Club and Eukanuba AKC National Championship every year
since 2000. I could not be more proud! Our puppies track records
are not only proven in the show ring, but in the many homes of my
extended families.
I hope you enjoy my website and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sometimes you really are in the right place at the right time. Years ago, Chris and I were showing our Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, Sullivan, and were lucky enough to meet Ed and his Giants. Little did I know at the time, but my life would change forever. Chris had long been a fan of Giants, but having grown up with miniature schnauzers, I knew little about the breed. We began to look forward to each dog show as we would spend time with Ed and Chief and anyone else that came along for the ride that particular weekend. One day baby Lovey came to a show with Ed and I knew she was my girl! With each new Giant that has come into our home, I have become more passionate about the breed. People often ask me “What is it about Giants??” Easy answer, their beauty is surpassed only by their uniquely fabulous personalities!
I could not be happier that Ed has included me as his partner as he pursues his childhood dream. With every litter, I am more proud of our beautiful dogs. We work hard to ensure our Giants are bred to the highest health and temperament standards. Give us a call, we’d love to have you join our “Giant” family and experience the love of a Tanglewood Giant.

-Finally! Spring has arrived at Tanglewood! Yes, it
was one long winter in the Midwest. The puddles are drying up and
cleaning muddy paws is almost over for another season. I am especially
glad as Olivia felt that every puddle was a personal challenge. I
have never seen a dog that could become wet and muddy more quickly
than her.
-We have two upcoming litters. Both Jett and Lovey were bred to Payton. Both litters are due in April. The Lovey/Payton
breeding is a repeat for us. We were so pleased with the puppies
after their first breeding, we decided to do it again. This is Jett’s
second litter, but her first with Payton, Ed and I are anxious to
see these pups!
-After a great 2009 and finishing as the Number One
Giant in the country, Bo is officially retired. He is at home with
his family, getting ready to enjoy the lake this summer.
-Ch. Tanglewood’s Licensed to Kill, “James” is
maturing by the minute and hitting a few shows to gain ring experience.
He’s done well in breed competition and is working on becoming
more comfortable with all those “different” looking dogs
in the working group. We’re happy with his progress and excited
about his future.
-Tanglewood’s And Justice For All, “Olivia”,
is working on her championship, while managing to have a great deal
of fun tormenting the big kids- especially Uncle Payton and Uncle
Ozzy.
-Keep an eye on the blog, as I promise to post some
puppy pictures!
-We are making many additions to our Family
Album. Keep those photos coming- we love them! Send them to me
at cjerath@frontiernet.net
